My Engineering story suggests these 5 things you must put a check on

Should students wear uniforms in school

So, here are 4 lessons from my engineering story which I would like to share with you guys

Motive

When I was about to enter the engineering college, I met a senior. He was a bright student; in our conversation he asked me what I am doing the engineering for?

I was immature, normal middle class kid, very apprehensive to share my goals so I stuttered a bit and nothing came out of my mouth. Seeing me coming up with nothing, he said “Job? Right?”, I nodded and oh I was so wrong.

Your motive of becoming an engineer must always be becoming an engineer and not getting a job through your degree.

However, don’t rule out getting a job but consider it as a byproduct of becoming an engineer. Learn more than you’re taught, revise more, and implement more.

Be passionate about engineering and not love

This is the most important lesson which I learned. I am very thankful to almighty that it didn’t happen to me.

In the first semester of my engineering, there was a guy who was a topper in class XII and who topped the semester too. Very energetic, very knowledgeable and very hardworking as a student that guy in the second semester fell for a girl in the class.

He became so passionate about the girl that he lost his attention towards the 5 subjects of the 2nd semester. The boy who topped the class in the first semester could clear only 1 subject in the second semester.

His house of reputation got demolished with his own hammer. I don’t what happened in his love life further but I do know he couldn’t make much of either his love life as well as engineering.

Put your focus on engineering, think about the amount of money your parents have paid for you to get you into an engineering college and then ask yourself, ‘could I afford to lose my focus for the girl(boy) I love?’

Engineer Please!

You know the whole and sole purpose of you pursuing engineering is that you engineer something.

If you’re a mechanical engineer, create a machine.

If you’re an electrical engineer, create a small transformer.

If you’re an electronics engineer, create a complex circuit.

If you’re a computer science or an IT engineer then create a cool software.

80% of the students don’t do it, and over a period of time the real motive of pursuing engineering starts diminishing. The only way you become a good engineer is when you consistently engineer and don’t only focus on clearing your semester exams with good marks.

Spend some quality time in lab

In my engineering story, labs were 50 minutes of complete chit-chatting and amusement. I was so wrong.

Nobody from my class paid attention to those instruments kept in the digital electronics lab or cared about creating Java programs in the computer lab.

Seeing such attitude the lecturers and the lab assistants took it casually too and only taught us what they had to just for the sake of teaching us.

The result is a lot of precious time got wasted which I realized in my first job where I had to work for 3 extra hours every day to get those programs of patterns in my mind.

Seriously sick that time became for me only to make me desperate to back in time and utilize that lab time period effectively. So, the real juice of engineering is in the labs, make sure you drink it as much as possible.

Don’t get wasted

Students when they enroll in any engineering college attempt booze, smoke, weed just to look cool.

There is nothing cool about it. Gone are those days when it was a symbol of style to hold a cigarette in your left hand and pull the act of exhaling smoke rings out in the air.

It’s written on every packet of cigarettes that ‘smoking kills’, follow it as life is precious.

Smoking weed and having liquor give you that ecstatic feeling but nothing is pretty about it. If you’re taking this message seriously then let me offer you a piece of advice.

There will always be people around you not only during engineering but during your entire life who will offer you their cigarette or half-drunk pint of beer just to taste. Now, the ball is in your court, it’s your choice to accept it or deny it.

At the age of 18-19, it will seem cool but it will sow the seed of illness at this point of time which is sure to grow in this global warming and pollution battling environment.

You can manage everything, people do and live their entire life. To me, this life is mediocre because they always fear a bumpy ride.

When you try to become the best at something life is not easy, the road is always bumpy and you have to make sure you don’t turn grumpy while working hard.

You have the pen which is your attitude and your life is a canvass, what type of engineering story you write on it is up to you. I will suggest it had better be a good one.

If you have your engineering story to share do let us know in the comments section.

I am sure this piece of writing has touched all the internet people, its really really pleasant post on building up new website. Hey would you mind letting me know which hosting company you're using? I've loaded your blog in 3 completely different browsers and I must say this blog loads a lot faster then most. Can you suggest a good web hosting provider at a fair price? Thanks a lot, I appreciate it! I’ve been browsing on-line more than three hours today, but I never discovered any fascinating article like yours. It is lovely value enough for me. In my opinion, if all site owners and bloggers made good content material as you probably did, the web might be much more useful than ever before. http://plumbing.com/
